This study projects the potential economic and job benefits that Washington state would miss out on if the Climate Commitment Act is repealed, using IMPLAN economic modeling software. Over 16,000 data points were analyzed to find that over the next 8 years, the Climate Commitment Act will create 45,000 jobs and $9.1 billion in economic output. These estimates rise substantially when factoring in all forms of federal, state, local, and private capital leverage.
